On September 1st, 1939, Germany invaded Poland. Nine days later, Canada declared war on Germany. Even though Canada’s army was small, they still helped the Allies win WWII.
Over one million men and women joined the Canadian army. Canada didn’t have the best military training, which caused the deaths of 40,000-90,000 people in the Canadian army. Canada was involved in Africa, Asia, Northern Europe, and Italy.
