Concentration Camps

By Casie Wedige

Concentration camps were terrible places where people that Hitler and the Nazis didn’t like were taken. Hitler and the Nazis didn’t like people because of certain political views, religion, and/or ethnic backgrounds.

Concentration camps ranged from slave labor to death camps. In the slave-labor camps, people were made to endure heavy work. They were starved, beaten, and exposed to the elements. In death camps, people were slaughtered within minutes or hours upon their arrival. Six million people were killed.
