Joseph Stalin
By Danny Psaltis
Throughout history, there have been many ruthless leaders. Many of these horrible leaders have been leaders of Russia. One leader was Joseph Stalin. Stalin was a bloodthirsty man who was a dictator of Russia in the early 20th century. Stalin did many terrible things but was still glorified by his people.
What Stalin did in the early 1930’s in Russia began “Russifigation.” “Russifigation” was an act that Stalin decided to launch to keep minority nationalities under strict control and eventually move them out. He tried to move them to any country as long as he could get them out of the U.S.S.R.
Stalin invaded most Baltic countries and Poland and began making these countries Communist. In these countries, Stalin’s secret police arrested most revolutionists or sent them to exile. Stalin ordered his own country to spy on other countries. He also executed millions of people or sent them to work camps.
