Technology of WWII

Even though World War II was a dark and depressing time, the technology was amazing. RADAR was invented in the 1930’s and was used in WWII. The first atomic bomb was made and used by the United States during the war. Penicillin became very successful at the time of World War II. It was discovered by Sir Alexander Fleming. There were many other medical advances made, such as vaccines against polio, measles, and rubella. Many of the advances made in technology continued to develop after the war.
